Fr. TI’s Bio

Rev. Fr. Dr. Theophilus Itaman (Fr. TI) is a Catholic Priest of Uromi Diocese. He was born on the 9th of October 1967. He attended the Saints Peter and Paul Major Seminary, Bodija, Ibadan, where he bagged his first degree (B.A) in Philosophy in 1994 and second degree (B.TH) in Theology, from Urbaniana University in Rome in 1998. With his unquenchable thirst for knowledge in leadership skills, he bagged Postgraduate degrees- M.A. in Educational Leadership and Innovation, Warwick University, UK, and his Ph.D in Educational Leadership from Walden University, USA.

He was ordained a Catholic Priest on the 18^th of October 1998 by His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Patrick EboseleEkpu (Emeritus), the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Benin City.

With his interest in education, Fr. Itaman established St. Matthias Group of Schools, Ewohimi. Considering his zeal to make positive impacts on humanity, he was elevated to the position of the Rector of St. Paul Minor Seminary, Benin City in 2004. Given his wealth of experience and vast knowledge buoyed with humility and tenacity of purpose, he was appointed the Principal of the enviable and epitomized institution called ‘Lumen Christi International High School Uromi, Edo State, Nigeria, since 2006 till date. Since Fr. Itaman’s assumption of office, the school has continued to record lots of successes in both academics and infrastructural development. These successes are as a result of his unparalleled and uncompromising doggedness to become the “Best or Nothing” in tandem with the school’s motto.

In conclusion, Fr. Itaman is a simple-minded and committed priest. In his fruitful ministry, Fr. Itaman has worked hard to touch lives by bringing salvation, hope, love, succour, word of God, healing, happiness, and joy to those around him and those he meets.
